When toxins aren't excreted from the body efficiently, they collect in body fat, mostly around the thighs and bum. Typically, carrying weight in your upper legs (pear shape) is a sign of toxicity and poor detoxing.
Every internal chemical reaction has a by-product that needs to be expelled and excreted, so your body does this naturally. It also happens in two phases simply put:
i) breakdown of toxins
ii) expulsion of broken down toxins
Modern living means that we completely over load out systems with chemicals. and our sedentary lives halt the second phase of detoxing.
So what can we do?
Increase our natural phase II by:
- Sweating - girl don't be scared to get WET! Jog in that hoodie, take that bikram class or hop in the sauna. Get it OUT!
- Lymph Drainage - support your drainage system through Endomologie, a great masseuse, regular movement (+ water!!)
- Breathing - expel stale air from deep lungs by pushing yourself in your cardiovascular gym routine and really embracing being out-of-breath. Finish off each session with 5 sets of 30 second sprints/burpees/kettlebell swings. Oxygen (O2 - two oxygen bonds) destroys viruses, fungi and bacteria because they are anaerobic (don't survive in high oxygen environments)
- Drink water (H20 - two hydrogen bonds and one oxygen bond) - for the same reason as above. High oxygen environment = low bacteria, fungi and viruses
- Support phase II detoxification through supplementation of sulforaphane and DIM products. These supplements help to safely contain and expel toxins from our body.
- DNA test for gene expression of the following: CYP1A1, GSTM1, GSTT1, NQ01 and GSTP1 to determine individual ability.
Your liver is the largest organ in the body, by far, and its working fucking hard.
Love you, mean it XXX
